Jamie was born and raised in Maple Ridge. After graduating from high school, Jamie moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he attended Dalhousie University and studied classics, completing an Honours Bachelor of Arts in 2005. He then returned to British Columbia to pursue a Master of Arts at the University of Victoria. Jamie completed his thesis on Roman history in 2007, which was commercially published in 2008. Soon after graduating in 2007, having had a long time interest in computers, Jamie decided to enter the field of web development and computer programming. Jamie worked as a web developer until beginning law school at the University of Victoria in 2011. Jamie was called to the Bar of British Columbia in early 2015.
Jamie practices primarily in the areas of real estate – including development and subdivisions, commercial lending, and residential conveyancing, business/corporate law, and estate planning. Jamie enjoys advising and assisting both personal and corporate clients on a wide array of legal matters and issues. He has a particular interest and expertise in technology law and enjoys helping those in the tech sector achieve their business goals.
When he’s not spending time with his family, Jamie enjoys cycling, hockey, woodworking, and playing guitar in his long-running rock band.
